En el episodio de hoy conversaremos con Anto Astudillo, cineasta experimental, performer y docente quien vive en Brooklyn NY y actualmente cura proyecciones de películas como programadore independiente. Con raíces en el teatro físico, explora entrelazando la narrativa experimental, la realización de documentales poéticos y el arte escénico. Ha enseñado producción cinematográfica de 16 mm, cine experimental, cine de danza y actuación en Emerson College, Keene State College y Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Es une de les miembres fundadores del AgX Film Collective, y actualmente cura proyecciones de películas como programadore independiente. Desde marzo de 2020, Anto ha estado de gira con la proyección de una serie de películas experimentales sobre el movimiento social de Chile enmarcada en el programa “The People’s Revolt” motivade por un estreno agotado en el Anthology Film Archive presentado en enero de 2020.

Acabo de terminar de escuchar el episodio de la semana pasada con @antopoiesis y me doy cuenta que hay cosas que me agotan la paciencia 😡porque siguen pasando hasta el día de hoy 🤯y porque como adulta, me parece evidente que las cosas no debieran ser así (en el mundo que yo quiero por cierto)… 🌎 Hay que puro respirar jiji 😜
“Usualmente utilizan ese argumento de decir ‘esta es la peor pena que me podrías haber dado en la vida’, porque, finalmente, se intenta culpar al niño y hacerle sentir que es él el que está generando el sufrimiento en los demás. En vez de que te digan: ‘yo empatizo contigo y te pregunto ¿qué es lo que tú sientes?’ o ‘déjame yo tomar tu pena’, lo que hace el adulto en estos casos es decir: “tú me estás generando un sufrimiento, tú estás destruyendo mi vida y eres culpable de hacerme sentir así si quieres ser tu mismo”. Es como… una huea enferma… Básicamente. Bueno, al principio yo era un poquito más amable con el resto de la gente, y permitía que la gente se tomara sus tiempos, porque a mí también me dijeron como: ‘yo no voy a participar de esto. Tú vive la vida, si tú quieres vivirla así, pero yo no voy a ser parte’ y hoy día, pienso que permitirle a la gente que se tome su tiempo, es muy violento también. Que la gente te pueda seguir diciendo como : ‘No mira: yo me voy a salir de tu vida un ratito, porque yo no soy capaz de digerirlo y, cuando yo sea capaz, me voy a unir a tu vida’. O sea, o sales de mi vida o estás en mi vida. Porque tú eres un cuidador, pienso yo. Porque, claro, hoy día yo elijo tener o no a mi mamá, pero un niñe no puede elegir a su mamá. Su mamá tiene que estar. Entonces, ese argumento no me sirve para un niño ni para un adolescente. En mi mundo. ” Ep1, T2.
