Una infancia en La Pintana, primero en una escuela pública y
luego en una evangélica, precisamente porque la religión siempre estuvo
presente en su familia, por generaciones. Batería en mano, Débora nos guía por
su experiencia de haber sido sometida a una terapia de reconversión para
sacarle el espíritu de la lesbiandad. Aunque nos cueste creerlo, estas
prácticas de tortura y otras, aún son practicadas y fomentadas en nuestro país
-de manera más y menos escondida- por algunos profesionales de la salud, líderes
religiosos, profesores y universidades. Este relato nos muestra cómo podemos
resignificar nuestras experiencias de vida y transformarlas en poderosas
acciones para un futuro mejor.
En el episodio de hoy conversaremos con Débora Cofré, Psicóloga Comunitaria Cursando Magíster en Teorías de Género e Intervención Psicosocial. Su trayectoria laboral ha estado enfocada en la generación de políticas locales en Educación y a nivel comunitario. Ha asesorado a instituciones en temas LGBTI y en derechos humanos y además, es activista en la Agrupación Lésbica Rompiendo el Silencio. El año 2016, fue premiada por la Fundación Todo Mejora por su labor en la promoción de una niñez libre de discriminación por orientación sexual, expresión e identidad de género, debido a su rol desempeñado en el Departamento de Educación de Quilicura. En el 2015 fundó la Oficina de Diversidad Sexual y Género en Quilicura.
